JOERGER ENTERPRISES, INC. MODEL CS can accept up to 24 two wire inputs and is packaged in a single width CAMAC module. Each input is optically isolated up to 1500VDC and has been designed to sense inputs by monitoring the presence or absence of external voltage. In this way it can monitor such things as limit switches, relay contacts or pressure switches. A version is also available to accept TTL level signals thus providing an inexpensive optically isolated input register. In addition to TTL signals, the unit can accept four other standard input levels. These are 12V D.C., 24V D.C., 48V D.C. and 120V A.C. Other ranges can be made available and the factory should be consulted if a different input is required. The input threshold is approximately half the input signal to be sensed. The input circuit draws between 5 and 10ma to help clean the contacts. Filtering is provided on each input to eliminate contact bounce. The standard time constant is 100msec. although 10, 50, and 200msec. time constants are available. Because of the asynchronous nature of the inputs, a register is provided. This register tracks the inputs continuously and when the module is read out onto the dataway, the register is disabled insuring stable data during readout. A logic "1" is read out if the contact is closed, indicated by the presence of a voltage. A front panel display is also provided to visually indicate the state of the inputs.
