The JOERGER ENTERPRISES, INC. MODEL ADC616 offers six, completely
independent, 16 bit analog to digital converters. Each channel has a programmable gain
instrumentation amplifier input and sample and hold so that it can be tailored for the
application. It has two operating modes, single cycle and continuous mode. The converted
data is stored in latches that are interlocked with the read commands. This provides the
ability to read the present value of any channel without interrupting the modules
operation. When running in the single cycle mode a complete LAM structure is provided to
monitor the modules operation. To reduce noise susceptibility, each channel has a
multipole low pass RC filter. This is a no charge option and can be added upon request. To
insure accuracy, the high resolution analog components are powered by a tracking voltage
regulator. We believe the features, accuracy and ease of use, will allow this module to
handle a wide variety of applications. Special care has been taken with the analog layout
and grounding in an effort to reduce noise and channel crosstalk. Each analog front end
also has its power and grounds filtered from the digital section and from the other analog
inputs. These precautions provide excellent results.
